So may be it is possible to upgrade to 1.0.7 ?

Sure, we could, but I am still trying to avoid patching the core deps.
I would more likely add a patch to the dwdwfsapi-1.0.6 Ebuild.
But I hope they bump it soon.

I believe that not many use the dwd_weather_warnings integration anyway.
The information they provide is not very reliable :-)
If they warn, nothing happens. If they don't, hell breaks loose.

I've take a look at differences between 1.0.6 and 1.0.7: https://github.com/stephan192/dwdwfsapi/commit/c91bf405b5813913370b46aeb6372eaa3e7755d7

So you can update the urllib dependency directly since the version bump is only about urllib version update without any code modification.

I already patched dwdwfsapi-1.0.6-r1.ebuild

with

src_prepare() {
	sed -i 's/"urllib3>=1.25.8,<2"/"urllib3>=1.25.8"/g' -i setup.py || die
	eapply_user
}

This way the modification

does not require touching core's constraints and
vanishes by itself with the next release
and we can build it without the old urllib3-1

I already patched `dwdwfsapi-1.0.6-r1.ebuild` with ```bash src_prepare() { sed -i 's/"urllib3>=1.25.8,<2"/"urllib3>=1.25.8"/g' -i setup.py || die eapply_user } ``` This way the modification - does not require touching core's constraints and - vanishes by itself with the next release - and we can build it without the old `urllib3-1`
